Retail Radar: Dark Messiah on 360, Sims 2: Celebration Stuff

CD Universe opens up preorders for a console version of Ubisoft's Might and Magic-based PC first-person action game and a new add-on for EA's virtual life series.

The Might and Magic franchise has not been seen on consoles since before its previous publisher 3DO went bankrupt, but it appears current rights-holder Ubisoft could be planning to bring the swords-and-sorcery series back to the living room.

A product listing has appeared on CD Universe for an Xbox 360 edition of Ubisoft's Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. The second game in the franchise released by the publisher after Heroes of Might and Magic V, Dark Messiah is a first-person shooter that leans away from the series' role-playing roots.

On the other end of the spectrum (but still found in a CD Universe listing) is The Sims 2: Celebration Stuff. No details about the game are given, but with a retail price under $20 and considering the series' naming conventions, the add-on would likely be a gathering of new items along the lines of Holiday Fun Stuff, instead of a full-blown expansion pack with new features like The Sims 2: Pets.

Please note, while retailer listings frequently jump the gun on publishers' product announcements, they should not be taken as final confirmation of a game's existence; nor should the absence of a listing be considered as proof that a game isn't coming to a given platform.

yeah dark messiah is pretty awsome.... i played the demo back in its younger days prior to release. i loved it but didnt purchase the full version due to fear that my PC would not handle the game. it certainly couldn't hanlde the demo and with this said i will FINALLY enjoy it on my 360

I have high expectations for this game. The DM for pc was very demanding of computers. Pretty soon, we will be able to play it with hardly any lag on the powerful 360. The gameplay is sure to surpass Oblivion's. It seems like gamespot downgrades a lot of the funner games. And they concentrate on storyline and graphics. Definitely buying this game when it comes out. The pc version was fantastic.

Although dark messiah may be cool, I doubt it will out shine ES4 Oblivion. But really it depends on what your looking for. DarkM - action RPG and Oblivion - true RPG. Any clue's on price?

360 owners listen .. DArk Messiah its just perfect for a game it is very well made especially in the fighting system ... yes the story is prety predictible but the characters are well made so don't listen to the gamespot review because its not true on all the other sites the game was rated 8 + so enjoy !!! I have finished 3 times on PC Worrior / Assassin / Mage style each one is fun in its own way !!!

That's pretty cool.. I remember before DM came out on PC I was praying that they would do a 360 version; but when it got mediocre reviews I sort of lost interest. But I'll possibly rent this if it does come out on 360.

I think DM was a great game. As an earlier posted said, I never had any of the bugs either and I think it got a bum review. In fact, I'm still playing it right now, they patched the hell out of it so far so it should be ready to go. I think this game will play well on the 360, as the controls are very similar to Oblivion(Not nearly as good though). i.e. swords, daggers, bows, staffs, magic, and all that good stuff.

Dark Messiah was a decent game, but in all honesty if you have Oblivion already then you may just want to have Dark Messiah as a rental.
