Independence War 2 free-form mode

Particle Systems releases a free add-on for its space sim that lets players continue playing past the end of the game.

Particle Systems, the development studio that created the recent space sim Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos, has released a free add-on to the game that lets players continue playing past the end of the game, retaining all their cargo, ships, systems, and trades. Players who complete the game can now explore, trade, and pirate as they choose in all the star systems in the game. The free-form mode mod is also compatible with other user mods. Independence War 2 was released in August by Infogrames. The game is set in the far reaches of space in the distant future. Players assume the role of Cal Johnston, a pilot who has escaped from a maximum-security prison in order to avenge his father's death.
