To the person who said that P51 was better than an Me-262 just because it was possible to manufacture P51 in a greater number:

    Incorrect comparison method.

If the sole intention of making comparison between two things is to identify which one has the better quality, and raw quality alone, then being able to mass assemble/manufacture something in a greater number is never the deciding factor in the final say which one has the better quality.

By the same flawed logic; then motorcycles made in China would be definitely better than motorcycles made by the Japanese factories in Japan, and human-propelled pedicabs would be better than cars. How about punji sticks were the better weapon than an M-16 rifle?

As to your claim that F4U was the best all-time World War II fighter... Well, the person below my post definitely knows better.

Someone doesn't know his aircraft. The F4U Corsair had a terrible turning radius due to the slip-stall problems caused by the curvature of the wings. That design was primarily to make it an easily storable carrier fighter. But overall, its payload, speed, reliability, and maneuverability was of no comparison to other fighters. Sure, it was beautiful, but no, the Corsair was NOT the best fighter of the war.

Graphics look ok. The fire and explosions looks very unrealistic. It seems just like another crap arcade game. You people should make a good fly sim not another arcade dogfighting game!! We are tired of those!

actually the best fighter was not the P-51 or the ME-262. It was the Corsair. Although If you were only talking about the European theater then I would say it was the 262. its only downfall was their numbers.
simply put, a P-51 vs. a 262 is no contest... 262 hands down

but you have to look at it like this:
the 262 is like a high tech rifle and the P-51 is like an AK-47. The high tech rifle may be better overall, but building enough of them to fight a war was impossible. the P-51 was the better weapon of war in this case

A P-51 is faster than an Me-262?? Really? Can it also pull a faster and steeper climb than an Me-262? LoL!

    :-D
Seeing spitfire shown multiple times in such short succession reminded me of a bit in Seinfeld where Steinbrenner tells George the names of people he has to fire

"You know as painfull as it is I had to let a few people go over the years. Yogi Berra, Lou Pinella, Bucky Dent, Billy Martin, Dallas Green, Dick Houser, Bill Virdon, Billy Martin, Scott Marrow, Billy Martin, Bob Lemmon, Billy Martin, Gene Michael, Buck Showalter"

this game does look really good, but yeah the spitfire was shown way too many times. And the Me 262 isn't the best fighter of WWII, the P-51 is. It had incredible range and speed compared to most fighters.

This does look cool in my view. So, I will be getting it. I read a review of the game in the Official Xbox Magazine just now and it says that there are only four multiplayer maps, which worries me, but they may add more maps as DLC. I will also be getting IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey. Both games should be fun, but Birds of Prey will be more challenging and more realistic.

Sorry if I stated something that obvious. When I mean obvious, I mean my statement about IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey.

big IL2-Sturmovik fan here. I'd recommend playing it first, this game seems a bit "arcadey" compared to IL2.

I wish combat flight sims would finally experience a bit of a renaissance. I miss the glory days of EF2000, Falcon, even the oldies like F-19 and F-15 III. I'd love a modern dynamic campaign set somewhere we all know and can appreciate (sorry Lock-on, I don't care about Krephlachistan)

I think it looks absolutely awesome! Have no clue about it's realism settings and I'm hoping it's not an arcade flier. Finally a new WWII flight sim which takes advantage of modern computers. It swooped far up on my 'to watch list'.

If it's a Flight Sim as GS.com writes - then it's LOL... Very unrealistic... Huricane is on fire and with a badly damaged wings... Tell me - how it's possible to damage wings so bandly and NOT to lose elerons - ir isn't... Also - he is manuevering like it is new plane that just came out of factory with such damages...
Also - wtf with all that alied planes... They have included meteor - which is prototype at best (doesn't count that it actually flew in battle once), but they don't have legendary axis Me262... It appears they do have some different models of Spitfire, but they actualy gave a damn to any others - especially axis...
IMO - it isn't sim at all - looks like another arcade crap... Antoher "Blazing Angles" copy...

Correct the first plane described as a spitfire, the one on fire, is a hurricane, the position of the gun ports makes it unquestionable.
