Fly! II details
Gathering of Developers reveals new details about the civilian flight simulator in development at Terminal Reality.
Gathering of Developers has released new information about its upcoming civilian flight simulator, Fly! II. The game is currently in development at Terminal Reality, and it features several improvements on and additions to the Fly! series. Terminal Reality's Photex Engine powers the game, and it provides visual detail equivalent to 7.5 meters per pixel and a visual range of up to 60 miles, which is five times the range in the previous Fly! game. In addition, the elevation modeling is four times greater than that of Fly! and Fly! 2K, and it provides better modeling of mountains and other jagged terrain. A number of other visual improvements are also included in the game, such as bump-mapped clouds, reflective and shimmering water, smoke, contrails, heat shimmer, and prop wash. The game also supports prop and landing gear damage.
