Ubi Soft recently unveiled its upcoming 3D naval combat game, Destroyer Command. The game will focus on actual historical missions in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters during World War II. Players will assume command of destroyer ships, and they must complete a variety of missions, including stalking U-boats, battling kamikaze planes, escorting convoys, fighting enemy ships, and shelling beaches in support of infantry landings. The game will feature a number of authentic weapons, such as torpedoes, 40mm cannons, depth charges, and 5-inch guns.
Destroyer Command will also include a multiplayer mode that supports online play against players of Silent Hunter II, Ubi Soft's upcoming submarine simulation. We'll have more information about both games later this year. Destroyer Command will be published under Ubi Soft's SSI brand, and it is scheduled for release this fall.
