Bloodlines sinks teeth into Web

Site for installment in the Vampire: The Masquerade series goes online on Halloween.

Ghoulish gamers have someplace new to visit this Halloween now that publisher Activision and developer Troika have opened a Web site for the latest installment in the Vampire: The Masquerade series, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Because the title carries a mature rating, visitors to the Web site will be required to verify their ages before being granted access to the site. Once in, the flash-based site allows you to navigate through a representation of the game world to find information about vampire clans, gameplay, character development, locations, vampiric abilities, art, and backstory.

Bloodlines will use Valve's Half-Life 2 game engine to present a struggle between striving clans of vampires in a dark and dangerous Los Angeles underworld. The game will also feature a multiplayer mode that will group combatants into team-based game play. Multiplayer participants will be able to choose to fight on the side of the vampires or play as still-living human vampire hunters.
