if you are missing a .dll file in any game, just google search it, and you'll find a place that has it for download. trust me on this, my games are always missing .dll files

it happened to me that some dll file wasnt found so i just upgraded the directx version to the one in november and it worked i dont know about u guys but it helped me

got demo to work great but now the full version doesn't even load past the "Launch Witcher" button. Wish i could play this game.

need to be faster than that ..?pls

I have directx9, the patch won't install if the demo is not installed correctly. I get the error "CRC failed in DATA2.CAB". After hours of downloading....

well the game looks intresting.The fighting, guns,all those stuff sounds cool.

The download works fine. You just have to get the patch plus have direct x version 9 or better.

I actually think the game is pretty good but this demo crashes all the time. Even with the patch. Hopefully they worked out the bugs in the real game.

I got an error message too after downloading it twice and reinstalling it. d3dx9_35.dll not found. Did a Dll file search on the net and found it’s a DirectX component. Updated to the November 2007 edition and it seemed to fix the problem. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if administrator priveledges is needed to install this monster file? I want to try it out on my lunchbreak

I really wish gamespot would work on the dling aspect of it.. iv had alot of issues dling things from the site.. i know alot of other people have too so im not gonna bother try and dl this.. gamespot please fix some of the issues lol

I made the mistake of using the demo saves in the real game and it worked until you enter Vizima (act II) when the screen just turns black with all sounds still playing.

I have played this game. Gameplay is awesome. An excellent RPG.

download elsewhere people gamespot is broken (in more ways than one).

Don't download this. Your just wasting your time, as soon as you hit "Play the witcher" or whatever it says in your language; an error message comes up. i deleted, installed it again and the same thing happened. To test it again, Dl'ed it again, installed: same message.

Don't download, it most likely won't work. Wait atleast 3 days so gamespot can fix it
