Tales of Eternia Online delayed
Namco delays its anticipated MMORPG in Japan due to quality improvement issues.
TOKYO--Namco today announced that it will delay the beta testing of its upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game Tales of Eternia Online. Together with the beta delay, the official launch of the game has also been pushed back from spring 2005 to an as-yet undetermined date.
"For the sake of quality improvement, we have decided to delay the launch of Tales of Eternia Online's beta testing, which was originally scheduled to begin in January 2005," comments Namco on its official Tales of Eternia Online Web site. "We will be mailing notices and launch schedules to registered candidates for the beta testing when the services are ready."
Tales of Eternia Online takes place in the world of Tales of Eternia, an RPG universe created by Namco for the original PlayStation in 2000. In America, Tales of Eternia was released under the title Tales of Destiny II. For more information on Tales of Eternia Online, check GameSpot's previous coverage.
