    PC version is probably the best way to go with all MMO's. It would be nice though, for the consolers, for them to send this game to XBOX360 or PS3.

    hahahahhaahhahahah Recruiting already eh? Nice. Once your kick ass guild is established (50 idiots already? COOL!), I guess you guys just sit around emailing each other "Man I can't wait til this game comes out" since you can't do crap until then?

    Yesterday is saw a couple of videos on IGN with some awesome gameplay videos of the game, with things like the sith warrior and bounty hunter class and much more but i cannot find them on gamestop. A little sad, as it's quite boring looking at so many interviews where they just keep telling you the same things.

    Even if there were a ps3 version.. I would still get the pc one I could never play an RPG or MMO on a console. It's just weird.

    I find it a little unsettling that they haven't mentioned any PvP system or designs. It's doesn't seem like a high priority for them.

    How could you possibly have Star Wars without fighting other human players? I sure hope they don't just throw in a couple Battlegrounds and call it PvP. They need to have a lot of capturable planets in an RvR system.

    I have high hopes for this MMORPG, there definitely wont be any other like it. I just hope the combat is not like World of Warcraft or Warhammer AOE.

    Yea many people will prolly be a Jedi/Sith so they can be all powerful so I hope they'll have balance ClayMeow. Not 2 say I won't be 1, I'm being a Jedi due to my name.

    And as a little treat 4 those who don't know, Smugglers have a Cover system.

    I'm looking forward to this but at the same time it doesn't seem like they answered any of the questions, they just kind of gave half assed answers. Oh well, still looks great.

    JForce, I couldn't give you the source of the music, but I'm positive that I've heard it before in the Star Wars universe.

    Also, MojoCraft is right, this game has been in development for several years and they've got a lot done already. If you're seeing gameplay, even if it's 8 seconds worth, it means there has already been a lot of work done. Early in development there's usually just concept art and maybe a teaser cinematic. Gameplay at least reveals that they've got their graphics engine is in place.

    Sorry to hear it's MMO. I was hoping for another KOTR (single player/console).

  • JForce

    Posted Jun 25, 2009 10:18 pm PT

    Does anyone know what music is used at the beginning of this? I don't recall it from any of the movies, although it may be....is it from the game?

    This game looks amazing, I can't wait to hear much more about this product in the future. I'm not a mmo player but heck I'll might have to just buy a new pc just to play this powerhouse of a game down the road lol...

    Posted Jun 24, 2009 1:28 pm PT

    @greatcarbuncle

    Are you joking about them having not done anything yet? This game has been in development since 2005, 4-5 years is the normal development time for an MMO, which means they should have a BIG chunk of the game completed by now.

  • ClayMeow

    Posted Jun 24, 2009 12:14 pm PT

    @1leet
    If the gameplay experiences for each class are as different as they're claiming, then I think we'll avoid seeing the majority of players gravitating toward Jedi/Sith, at least down the road.

  • greatcarbuncle

    jimivey

    well they do have a good reason - they've barely done anything yet. as fans we've seen about a minute of actual gameplay, and that's not in one go!

    but to be fair these guys are probably the two most booooring guys bioware could possibly have picked to send along to e3...

  • jimivey

    They said absolutely nothing new.

    Posted Jun 23, 2009 2:39 pm PT

    This game looks awesome, the only problem is you're going to have the majority of the players only playing Jedi/Sith I'm going Bounty Hunter for sure! =D

    I don't know if the Jedi formula work in an MMO--too many people want to be them (especially the twelve year old buying the game to BE a Jedi, and I can't blame them) and it's nigh on impossible to keep that balances right. And I'm also growing weary of Bioware's simplistic "you have two choices" tack, though Bethesda too (Mass Effect was better though). Still, in life, you have more than two choices, and they shade into each other much more than just "save the widow" or "kill her children."

    I don't know why people expect mmorpgs to come out on consoles, it never happens..

  • jigf69

    Posted Jun 20, 2009 8:24 pm PT

    It does indeed, I can't wait until it finally comes out, planning on being a support class, maybe the Republic Trooper. Lets see what other classes they reveal.

    @Humorguy

    Bioware changed their strategy and now they are more successful than ever. They are still a Triple A company, and that doesn't change simply because they don't produce games just for you. They produce games for the broader audience, and a good chunk of that audience owns consoles. And btw, last I checked, there were just as many gory and sexy games on the PC as there were the console.

    Anyway, Bioware better not forget Xbox sales of KotoR were far greater than PC sales. The console gamers made the game successful, not so much the PC gamers. Besides, why the heck would you want to go toe-to-toe with WoW anyway? There is no WoW on the 360 and we love KotoR. Take advantage of it!
    That said, I wish they would stop converting the great RPG franchises to MMO's. Everyone wants a piece of the WoW pie and I just want to play a good single-player RPG. I can barely put aside enough time to play one MMO as it is.
