    NERD ALERT: Technically, that mission statement "to boldly go" was for the USS Enterprise, not for the Federation.

    I am disappointed with the graphics, it looks like from 5 years ago. I was hoping this game would be an alternative for Eve-Online..

    NERD ALERT 2: Zefram Cochrane was the one who said the line: "to boldly go" when he gave a speach to earth after the first warp mission.... sorry had to say it.... :-D

    Been waiting since 2004... Thankfully Cryptic picked it up... Now its just a question about time. All I want is to be able to tour every Deck of every starship. Make that happen... youll sell a fortune.

    Its about time that some one comes out with a game that puts meaning back into Star Trek and Cryptic gets props please develop this game for the 360

    Damn, I'm not the biggest Star Trek fan but this looks pretty damn epic. Totally new direction for MMORPG's. I'd actually be willing to pay for this one (unlike WoW). I'll be watching this.

    this game actually looks cool to play even tho i'm not fond of star treks...
    i would play it if the game is not crowded full of geeks who this star trek is real so count me out

    all u do in this game is fly around in a ship....i dont think this is gonna be an exciting game

    @ Vidoegameatic: Did you not even watch the video before you made your incorrect comment? There are plenty of scenes in this trailer that show the player doing things other that flying the ship around. Did you happen to miss the ship tactical combat, or the ground (away) team planet exploration plus the scenes of the fighting on the bridge of the ship? Seriously, watch the video before you open your mouth next time.

    I will admit we do have one thing in common, you must hate games like EVE Online...god that game was horribly boring.

    i hope they kept the idea of training at starfleet under a specific trait(i.e. engineer, helm, medical, security...so on) then getting assigned a ship, or getting your own, and actually performing that duty and have real people be the entire bridge crew. also be able to go around the whole ship. thats what perpetual was going to do. since this went to cryptic, they better still use those ideas...or why still wait for this???

    @StanleyL actually the "boldy go" mission statement was a starfleet thing...zefram cochrane was the first one to say it.

    btw i was really skeptical about this game when it was announced but it actully looks pretty good!! hope it turns out to be a great game!!

    !!! I just now realized how much i love Star Trek. !! I was just playing Mass Effect and the thought came to me that that whole engine would be perfect for a Star Trek console game.

    I dunno...it looks good, but i dont think i can ever get over the queer uniforms. Cryptic is good, Atari is good. But ill wait for Bioware's Star Wars.

    This game actually looks pretty bad, graphically speaking. That is very disappointing.
    Even Star Wars Galaxies from 2003 looks a little better than this. Yikes.
    With The Old Republic coming out and looking cartoony in its over-stylization, I'm not really too hyped for these new MMOs. Too bad. I really thought they'd look so far superior to everything else out there...apparently not.

    hmm,,,looking at this I'm not too impressed by the on foot sections graphically.

    I know graphics arent everything but given the history of star trek games this looks like the first sign of another lazy attempt to cash in on the license like so many others

    Definitely not my type of game, good for the Star Trek junkies though. I'm a fan of Star Wars myself, GO GO SWtOR!!
