    @Knight95007

    well lord of the wing sis largely a british made franchise, so its to be expected that we hae the majority stake in its development,,,,not every game is going to star americans you know

    The Lord of the rings Online is so much better than WoW...in that it has a great overarching storyline as well as hundreds and hundreds of interesting side quests. WoW is a grind...nothing more. You have literally experienced all that WoW has to offer in the first fifteen minutes. LOTRO is an absolute masterpiece.

    This game is what MMOs all about. The variation is huge, take WoW where all the houses and dungeons look the same just copy paste and then take a look at Lotro........They sure NAILED it and I love it

    they should do a new review with the expansion and all the free updates it has now.it would get at least a 9.

    This is an awesome game, after playing WoW for a year its a breath of fresh air to step in to a mature community of players, this game is beautiful to look at, plays excellently and is great fun, WoW = kindergarten, LOTRO = Graduation

    @DamageIncM

    They've gone nowhere, the entirety of LOTR is NOT just about big battles and PvP, it's about an overarching quest, where big battles were actually a small means to an end in the books.

    Remember the books? Read them again, please.

    Hm, I think it's just disappointing.
    What is up with these frickin' games, they are all the same!
    OK, sure there are the differences of the themes and stories and probably things you can do and what not.
    But just compare this to something like 'World Of Warcraft' or anything like that, you're basically doing the same thing.

    It's like, years ago I was excited about the 'The Matrix Online', I thought I could actually play in "The Matrix" with other people and stuff.
    And you could, you could do plenty of things, but nothing happens besides standing around and going into battles and doing some arcade moves, see some effects and you get point or something like that.
    The same thing happens in 'World Of Warcraft', the same thing happens in 'The Lord Of The Rings Online'.
    How much lamer can it get?

    Then I was also excited about 'The Lord Of The Rings Online' coming out, well at least it looked interesting rather than a Hack'n'Slash-games like most others of TLOTR.
    But when I looked at the gameplay, it was again the same!
    What I was expecting was probably have like these two sides, good and evil or whatever, everyone creating a character on a side, then possible do massive battles with the two sides.
    Or of course smaller ones with two or some more people.

    But the whole thing is, it's nothing but this silly creature-killing to beg for some points and do other lame stuff.
    The fighting itself is even worse, you just stand around clicking moves until one drops dead.
    You know, these games are dead, they're just so dry and generic...
    Plus I can't believe they actually trick people into paying for it monthly, at least some of them.
    It's unnecessary too, other big online-games don't make you pay, just for the game itself.

    This is ridiculous, they can do so much with computers and they come up with this.
    Seriously, where are the big battles, where have the movies and books gone?

    its funny, for every bad thing he said, he said "but on the other hand" i bet he really liked the game.I can't afford monthly payments,but it does look pretty fun.
