Lineage animated series in the works

Cyper secures the rights to produce an animated series based on the popular online game and comic book.

Cyper Entertainment has announced that it has signed a deal with Anikino to secure the animation rights for a series based on the Lineage comic book and online game. Cyper is preparing to produce, finance, and distribute the series, which will cost an estimated $5 million for 13 episodes.

NCsoft's online role-playing game Lineage was first released in 1998 and is said to have a total of 10 million subscribers worldwide. The game is based on a successful comic book by Il-Sook Shin that debuted in 1993.
