    Both Icewind I & II are classics. I still play them every once and again. It is a shame that nowadays these types of games are not being developed anymore. (rpgs are more action oriented these days)

    The gameplay is very strategic, it is NOT a hack and slash game. You have to pause constantly and determine what is the best course of action for all your party. Graphics are a bit outdated but it doesn't mean that they're bad. If you are planning to get it I would highly recommend you do. However, do not go into them with tremendously high expectations. Remember, these games came out between 2000-02 and things have changed since then, but if you are a D&D fan and just enjoy them for what they are, they will certainly give you hours of fun within the D&D Forgotten Realms universe. And langlest, I completely agree with you, these games kick the crap out of NWN.

    My only complaint is the lack of "living" player party characters, they're just mindless drones. I prefer games with party members you can talk to.
