    Good ideas like this and the implementation of them have been horribly timed by Sony for their PS3. Its all a "little too late". Im 34 and both my GF and I tried this game on PC. Its cute n fun and actually has some high quality mini-games. She liked the cooking, I actually liked the Bejewelled style of of their "Mining" mini-game. Free Realms is very good for what it offers. We havent played it for weeks, but its good for what it is.

    its too kiddy. they need something like this concept but for the more mature ages. I'd love a free PS3 mmorpg..especially with gore.

    i did give it a go on my PC. it was a bit too childish for me, but still a solid game. i don't like mini puzzle games so i wasn't too excited for them also.

    However, might give another try on PS3 as the library seems to miss out on mmo and SPECIALLY ON RPG

    Good game. It's fun, casual, cute and free. I always chuckle when I see people floating around +/- 20 years old saying a game is for kids... you ARE kids... some day you will realize and look back at yourself while shaking your head. Until then, try your best to grow up and I wish you luck in doing so.

    I got nothing against this game. Free Realms whether its to kiddy or not, brings more variety to the PS3 and its free.

    It will be a good game for kiddos. Luckily any adults who will be playing will not be allowed to be pervs. It is an interesting PC game, I've tried it out, it was good enough for kids and tweens (whatever that means). It is supposed to come to PSN as a download, I guess it will be the kids version of PlayStation Home.

    not to be a grumpy old 16 year old.. but wth, going too far? i love mmo's but this might be considering "taking it a bit too far" good ideas about racing, mmos, mini games etc, but really, instead of based on all people, it based on kids, think about it... the only 40 year olds playing this game will be the perverts..

    "MMO for beginners"

    Point, Click, Watch.
    All mmo's are for beginners. I don't think there is any other type of game that uses such simple mechanics. Look at WoW. They are all designed to be easy to pick up and play.

    A couple of things wrong with these Free2Play things.

    1st is the people that play it. I find that too many people have little to no respect for the community, as they have not had to invest in the game they just don't care. Sometimes its better to charge a little to keep out these types of people. 2nd is the fact that after a long 'beta' these companies start adding items to shops which you have to pay for. Before you know it lower level characters start buying weapons that can easily beat your higher level so your forced to either quit or buy stuff.

    i like this. just cause theres no blood and gore people complain. its sad how people need to play violent , gory games to feel hard and mature. im old and i like this. my favorite games right now are killzone and littlebigplanet

    i have no problem with the graphics, but ffs they are wearing jeans and t shirts..
    massively nerdy but i like my mmos to be armored.

    MMO for beginners. With desaturated complexity, a good idea really, helping expand the idea that MMOs are not for those of us people who lose our real lives into hours and hours of online action.

    and the fact that its free, plus its appeal to cover ''all'' audiences is admirable. but the strongest point of all; the instant accessability. you are up and running and into the game/mmo experience before you know it. (providing ur internet connection allows). and in my most humble opinion, there is nothing wrong with abit of toon-homage. its nice to pay respect to the art which started this long road of creativity.

    so... how does WoW look cartoony? if you want a REAL example go check out Battlefield Heroes or Team Fortress 2. Seems anything with less than par graphics is deemed "cartoony" nowadays. You youngsters are so quick to judge art styles.

    Right. Frack WoW. I hope Diablo 3 is as dark as Diablo 1 and 2 were. The dark, almost gothic fantasy atmosphere really made those games awesome. Diablo 3 looks kind of cartoony too though...

    Yea this game is a joke. Definitely made for ten year olds. They're trying to jack the runescape crowd.
