Final Fantasy XI beta coming to a close
Square Enix to close beta program Tuesday at midnight, Pacific time.
Participants in the Final Fantasy XI beta-testing program had better get their game on. As of midnight Pacific time, October 14, Square Enix will be taking the massively multiplayer role-playing game offline until its official release.
According to Square Enix, the final sessions of the game will feature new, previously unseen monsters. Unfortunately, characters' experience and levels will be lost when the beta test ends, meaning gamers will have to start from square one when the final version of the game goes live October 28.
