The Station hits 10 million
Sony Online announces that its game site now has more than 10 million members.
Sony Online Entertainment has announced that its gaming Web site, The Station, now has more than 10 million members and gets more than 1 million unique users per week. According to Sony, the entertainment site provides services for both the casual and serious gamer. Some of the games offered on The Station include puzzle and trivia games such as Jeopardy! Online and Wheel of Fortune Online, action games like Infantry and Cosmic Rift Online, and the popular role-playing game EverQuest. Upcoming games include PlanetSide, a massively multiplayer first-person shooter; Star Wars Galaxies, an online role-playing game set in the Star Wars universe; and Sovereign, an online real-time strategy game. All three games are currently in development at Verant Interactive, the studio that created EverQuest.
