OK, I can play without the disc, but when playing Paladin, it saps mana in a matter of seconds when using Prayer - even when standing in town after being healed by Akara, and when no one is taking damage. I had to reinstall the whole game to get back to normal. Anyone else having similar issues?

You won't need the CD after this patch.

Awesome. There go mah OpenGL problems.

For anyone who still can't run it without a CD, just grab all the .MPQs off of the CDs. Usually, this'll only be the d2music and d2xmusic, on the D2 play disc, and LoD disk, respectively.

    Finally..
They didn't it with WCIII, too.
The only problem is, not a lot of people play these anymore. :[
