Bethesda Softworks celebrates Elder Scrolls' 10th

Giveaways, retrospectives, and a free game mark the role-playing series' first decade.

Bethesda Softworks has launched a month-long celebration to commemorate the tenth anniversary of its best-selling role-playing series, The Elder Scrolls.

Besides updating the Elder Scrolls Web site with retrospective articles on the series, Bethesda is also giving away game memorabilia, original artwork, and prizes from Hip Gear, Logitech, Creative Labs, ATI, and NVIDIA.

Also, for a limited time, a free download of the classic 1994 RPG Elder Scrolls: Arena will be available on the site, although players will have to download a DOS emulator to play the game. Elder Scrolls: Arena is also available on GameSpot DLX.

Best use of DOSBox is with the frontend for it called D.O.G. the front end allows multiple games to be listed with their own profiles and turns all that dos command this and dos command that of DOSBox into menu click and menu choices! It's a lot easier to play around and get the best setup if you are just clicking different boxes! Oh and the Elder Scrolls series is the greatest RPG series ever! But my favourite is one hardly anyone has heard of.... Redguard!

Obviously DOSbox, there's nothing else (and a good thing too), as DOSbox does the job well.
