Baldur's Gate Question

Cheating?

How do you enable cheating in BG i put the cheats=1 under game options but when i go to the game to play i hit ctrl+tab but nothing happens what am i doing wrong?

first thing. Idk if it will have an effect but capitalise the C in Cheats. then make sure there are no typos. no spaces either.
