"We want to thank all of our players for helping Anarchy Online evolve into the game it is today," Funcom president Andre Backen said. "Customer feedback has been vital to our success and we are confident that our players will see their input even more in our upcoming additions."

Funcom is currently developing Anarchy Online: Shadowlands, an expansion pack for the game that will add new areas, profession specialization, new armor and items, and other new features. According to a company representative, the expansion is on track for release near the end of 2002.
