I download the demo on the ps3, and I have to say the game looks plain and very ordinary comapred to the likes of Motorstorm. The game seemed a bit campy if you ask me, it was a bit of fun but not worth buying. Also I noticed the frame rate was a bit low. anyone else notice this?

A wave of nostalga will wash over you like a splash of mud when you play this demo (if you're old enough). It's a fun game but it can't hide its quick-fix arcade heritage. A few laps around the demo track and I was bored silly. Looks good though - the mud on the car looks like chocolate! There are no control options in the demo and It took me ages to figure out which keys on my keyboard made the car move forward (A) and backwards (Z) The demo didn't support my controller.

LOL, Sega Rally SUX, it was fine as an arcade game about 60 years ago and having played a demo this is no different, just a bit shinier. No feeling of control whatsoever, an absolute joke and rip-off of a game. Try out DiRT, it's so much better is so many ways

Probably due to the Games For Windows initiative. All GFW games must have support for the 360 but all other controller support is at the discretion of the individual developers.

@TazSteele: SEGA is good at arcade games, so why not keep that feel, and put it in something more modern?

I'm not sure about the graphics, compared to DiRT. They look that little bit more 'cartooney', but still that's not a bad thing. Chug is right about the poor textures on dirt, but they are still good looking games...

in terms of gameplay sega rally beats dirt hands down. with the exception of forza 2 its one of the best driving games i've played in several years and makes a welcome change from a lot of the stuff out there. this game is certainly a credit to the original imo.

on another note, the graphics of dirt are very overrated, hdr is overused to hide some of the poor textures to the point that it looks very unnatural.

I agree...don't waste ur time with this one. It in no way holds a candle to DIRT, graphically or gameplay.
Especially the gameplay...it's just horrible, very arcade-like and about a decade behind the times.
