the best NFS game is wanted or underground 2. wantecd coz good races and good gameplay and underground 2 coz it gives you more options to mod your car and it is more about showing off!!

which game is going to worth buying nfs shift, gt5, or grid? im a big raceing fan, but havent played a good one in a while. not sure if i should get grid because its avaliable, or wait on shift, or gt5. i like burnout, its alot of fun but i like racing games that are just a bit more realistic in a sireous racing kinda way. is it true that gt5 dosent have accident damage? cant be, the series always specialize in realism. anyway, if anyone could help out thanks.

I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME. Too all the people complaining about EA get over it they make bad games this is not being made by EA so stop getting mad about. I prefer this kind of racing because it looks fun no more cops, street racing, and ugly cars. Just waiting for it now it looks epic watching as much gameplay footage as possible looks so good. I don't see what was wrong with Pro Street because realistic(ish), new modes, new graphics, new idea. People didn't like it because it was too hard from a game where you don't need to brake to one where you are always on the brakes. You either will buy it our not and I will defiantly buy it even is this place gives it a bad review too be honest they give a lot of bad review for games I have enjoyed and not had a problem with..

i used to love NFS but getting into cars i realise non of them go from 0-60 in 2 seconds :\ and can take a turn at 300mph haha but i hope they get it right

they have gameplay footage on cvg.com and n4g.com/ IMO game engine sounds good and the graphics is excellent. but on the vid to much crashing you really cant get a feeling of the game to fast and to short.

I really do like the idea of inside the car view thats something that all players will love. !

    Posted Mar 18, 2009 9:08 pm PT

Yeah i really do hope that the game will be as exciting at it looks i mean i dont mind racing on the track but customizations for the cars really have to improve... All old nfs i played was nothing but dissapoining im still playing NFS U2 more then any other NFS game... because you can add so much onto your cars but now they just slack off on games like undercover prostreet carbon and others. Engine is better be improved... cars handle unrealistic, damage in prostreet was sposed to be real but its not. I crash at 200mph and just get dents after rolling 100 times. Car accelerates 0-60 in 2 seconds all these little things will make game lot better and lot more selleble

Here we go again, a next NFS-PS on the way. i love to race and a love NFS. and am sure that most of you guys will agree with me, when i say that we dont want no f-in pro street type game where u have racing in the day time and and no cups & when you hit your boots u have its little fire ball & sh!t. we want illegal not legal, but illegal street racing o.k where we have a lot of cops, driving on highways & MAIN ROADS & f-in up cops, race at night and day, in the rain, MORE CUSTOMIZING THE CAR u know more like MW which to me was the best NFS ever.... again we any want illegal street racing games like underg/ underg2/ and MW NOT LEGAL

oh, noooo. we can't kill off NFS besides GT thats the only other racing game I play. not into burnout my personal feeling. not saying burnout is not a great game just not for me.

after reading everyone request on here. now I understand why EA has 3 NFS for those of you that want most wantish hardcore type racing without cops , and those of you want online racing
last but not lease those of you who want arcade type racing. to bad its on the wii. seem to me EA got all the demographic cover
but the main question is will any of these games pull thru??? as a solid winner?? can any of these 3 surpass mostwanted for mostwanted fans and will nitro satisfied underground, hotpursuit 2 fans?? and will "world online" satisfy PC gamers

guess we all will have to wait and see after 2Q arrive which will be april 28th for shift and 4th Q for nitro and world online

BEST OF LUCK EA.... your in a dire need of it.

I think tht every1 here is just not actually gettin the point here...EA has been continuing thz franchise 4 years wth every single game havin its own uniqueness....u guys juz dont know how to game the real way...thz time NFS Shift, nitro,& world online is goin t bring the house down...BTW EA has the best graphixxx...EA rocks while u guys LOOOOOOOOOOSSEEEEEE

the last need for speed i enjoyed. was most wanted.
it stood out to me against the rest.
after that. they all just seem more of the same. some not as good as most wanted.
i hope they will change the way they make racing games now, give us something new. this looks promising

If the game lives up to the talk, I might just be interested. Although Gran Turismo wowed me in its early years, now the game just bores me. I thought I would feel that way about most racing circuit track games until I played GRID. I can't get enough of the game. The one thing I don't like about GRID is I can't tune my cars for performance.

If EA can one-up GRID and give me car tuning to boot then they just might win me back to the NFS series. Also I hope the other drivers on the track seem like they all want to win the race. In games like Gran Turismo, I've always felt like the other cars just happened to be on the same track I'm on and going in the same direction, but they were just objects in the way of me crossing the finish line first, not necessarily someone who wanted to win as much as I do. They really need to make your competitors distinct in these games and be actual competitors. You should be able to recognize the aggressive drivers, the timid drivers, the skilled drivers, the unskilled drivers. the tactical drivers, and the drivers that can be intimidated, and they should have a name attached to them.

  • Mohmikee

    Posted Mar 9, 2009 1:21 pm PT

Wow.. this is just gonna be dumb. For the past couple of need for speed games I've been disappointed. I wish that they could go back to Most Wanted... Yeah I guess undercover was like it, but it isn't the same..... Please EA, take a second look at what games you are making

  • touree

    Posted Mar 9, 2009 7:45 am PT

Another thing, has anyone heard of this game before now. It is due in the second quarter "that's right around the corner" and all they have for us is a guy talking, Rock-n-Roll music tracked and pictures, they don't even have a box cover for the game yet.....can anyone say rushed product *shakes head* ahh EA why can't u just take the time to place effort into making a true game and not a franchise.

  • touree

    Posted Mar 9, 2009 7:39 am PT

All I hear is yap yap yap. They are talking about crashing and How they focus on the experience and not really how other games focus on car collection, customizations..... Hello NFS started this trend so what is he talking about. Prostreet was horrible, for them to go back to that is ridiculous. The best NFS games were NFS2, NFS Hot Pursuit 1 and 2, NFS Underground 1 and Most Wanted. All these games had their own unique style and trait to them, this just sounds like them trying to turn Prostreet into G.R.I.D. I will have to keep an eye on this but they need to turn up the heat and come out with something new, they are stuck in a trend progression.

  • Osnic

    Posted Mar 9, 2009 3:12 am PT

This looks and sound more promising than Undercoverd did. Undercoverd is/were a big disapoinment! Unfortunately, my first NFS was Most Wanted for PS2 and it was awsome, I'm still playing it. But when I play the newer one, I can't feel this Need for Speed feeling, it's something that is missing. I'll get this for PSP and meybe Nitro for Wii, but I liked the interview anyway.

  • 2stuff

    Posted Mar 8, 2009 10:56 am PT

i hope they really got rid of the street tunning stuff.

  • hotrider12

    Posted Mar 8, 2009 9:31 am PT

all I can say is : the graphic's make it look promising.. but the 64,000.00 question is will the gameplay live up to it??

I would hate a 3rd disappointment. so far nitro might be a winner
but then again we would need to buy a wii.... my bet is the 4th NFS might be the hit going back to hotpursuit an make NFS hotpursuit 3 or underground 3

    Posted Mar 8, 2009 6:06 am PT

I suprisingly have hopes for this game after I saw this interview. If they finally realise that game core is the point, not making up new name, they might just get NFS back to its' track. NFS has been disappointment every single time after Most Wanted.

  • Vlaimir_Lem86

    Posted Mar 8, 2009 12:58 am PT

When is EA going to actually figure out that the NFS series needs to end. I doubt any NFS game will ever come close to Grid. They either need to stop pumping out raceing games that are below sub-par, and sit down and put some actual time into their games, instead of milking the money out of their already small fanbase.

  • diggyman

    Posted Mar 7, 2009 10:53 pm PT

mmm. na. I don't think so. To me, (and this is just my opinion), these guys keep changing it up without establishing a solid core concept, like they did with the Underground and the Most Wanted editions. I feel like they're reaching all over the place to find that niche again (which makes sense when they keep changing out their staff). I say grab the staff from the underground series and make a part 3 (again, that's just me and mine).

I loved NFSMW however i just disliked the others that followed behind it. I just hope that NFSS brings me back to the series.

  • SSS1989

    Posted Mar 7, 2009 6:49 pm PT

They should make a realistic street racing game. No speedbreakers, no pursuit breakers, none of those poor storylines and cutscenes. Undercover is pretty much unrealistic, and as for Burnout Paradise, the cars handle more intuitively and the crashes are just as realistic in real life.

  • eastley000

    Posted Mar 7, 2009 12:24 pm PT

You guys from EA better not let me down! Not again. Ever since Carbon made a good impression, in some ways, Need for Speed has been throwing out all these other titles that have put the games in danger. If they don't work out a good game soon, Need for Speed might run out of gas...

  • meta_berkut

    Posted Mar 7, 2009 6:35 am PT

Partick Soderlund, I dont care how much you experience have on real life racing or even if you are #1 on it.
The fact is you suck at making racing games!
It seems like Shift is going to suck even more than undercover.
Maybe it is time to move NFS franchise from EA to more creative company that can pull it out of its crisis.

picture heihachi mishima near the end on tekken 5's intro, the way this thing is going to blow up in thier faces is going to be good. hold onto your hats we are lookig at the end of a franchise

  • Vimanesba

    Posted Mar 6, 2009 6:37 pm PT

Well, I think that, after releasing Undercover last year, having 3 NFS games for this year is going to make EA look bad. Not only they have deformed the NFS series, taking out the cops, the free roam, the customizations, the Hummer (xD), etc. They should take some time to think of a NFS game that actually meets our expectations. BTW arcade racing is way better than "realistic" racing. Just look at Burnout Paradise! The only thing it needs is cops and it's the best racing game ever! We'll see how this turns out...

  • ahpuck

    Posted Mar 6, 2009 4:48 pm PT

no, no, the beauty of NFS is that it is NOT realistic at all. at least that why i like it. the more realistic it gets the worst it becomes. leave the super realism to GT and Forza.

  • blagojce

    Posted Mar 6, 2009 4:34 pm PT

i hope it will be more realistic then other NFS

  • killer_hawk

    Posted Mar 6, 2009 4:32 pm PT

Why??? Why do we need another simulator, there are already great simulators out there, and it seems like arcade racing is being put to rest. I think that the next need for speed should have been a mixture of their two best tuners NFSU2 and NFSMW, that would have been simply brilliant.

  • vivendidoom

    Posted Mar 6, 2009 2:14 pm PT

Finally, Need for Speed grows up, its about time. I'm sick and tired of NFS being very unrealistic, considering the fact they actually use FACTUAL cars. Their flippant cut scenes were also extremely horrendous. I just hop the have tighter controls and more of a physics based driving. maybe even making the crashes a little more realistic unlike the other games where the crashes were either to flashy, or to little of anything as compared to more realistic. Love the modeling though, very well done.

GRiD rip off, with some improvements (I hope). I dont think it will be like ProStreet, since i liked Grid but i hated prostreet! Lets hope they dont rush it... or it will be badly optimized and u will have to own a super PC to rn it....
