Dale Earnhardt Jr. in NASCAR Thunder 2003
EA Sports' next NASCAR game will feature the likeness of the racer, who also contributed to the development of the game.
EA Sports has announced that Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be the cover athlete for NASCAR Thunder 2003, which is set to ship this fall for the PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation, Xbox, and GameCube. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is also said to have played a part in the game's development process.
"I've been a longtime fan of EA games, so to be on the cover of NASCAR Thunder 2003 is quite a thrill for me," said Dale Earnhardt Jr. "NASCAR Thunder helped me win the EA Sports 500 in Talladega this year, and my first season on the circuit I would prepare for the upcoming event by racing my EA game over and over."
"His contribution to the product has been invaluable, giving us design feedback and ideas on improving features and gameplay. We couldn't have a better driver grace the cover of NASCAR Thunder 2003," said Ed Martin, director of EA's NASCAR video game production.
