Ballistics goes gold
Xicat will release Grin's futuristic hoverbike racing game later this month.
Xicat Interactive has announced that the futuristic racing game Ballistics has gone gold and will soon ship to stores. The game takes place in the future, at a time when human civilization has managed to rid the planet of war and disease, but society's thirst for action inspires a brutal high-speed sport evolved from Formula 1 races. Pilots race high-performance hoverbikes around complex concrete tracks at supersonic speeds, and they can use their earnings to purchase performance upgrades for both their vehicles and the pilots themselves.
Ballistics was designed to push high-end video cards and other computer hardware components to the limit. The game was developed by Stockholm-based Grin and is scheduled for release on October 19 for an approximate retail price of $29.99.
