So Great!!! Think this would be great on the psp as well if they ever brought it to PSN!

Damn I wish the voice acting was included in the classic version, that would make it great. Ugh!

It's very ironic how they try to defend the new art by comparing the old to the pirates of caribean. Things can be goofy without really goofed up unfaithful art. Just get rid of that ridiculous Guybrush art and stick more to the roots.

I always wondered what happened with the dog. Thought it was a scene only on the Amiga, while I had an Atari ST.
Love the old flappy-headed talking animations.

cool game, although i would pass it for something more mature

Wow! this is nostalgia. Need to take a trip to memory lane, must try this out.

There's tons of classic games with the SCUMM engine, that would be nice to se re-amped in this way. Sadly, one of mine old favorites, isnt a Lucasart game, but still a SCUMM game (I think?). Im talking about "Beneath a Steel Sky". That game would have been as sweet as this one. "Beneath a Steel Sky Special Edition" *dreamy eyes*.

Uh - the old pirate at 9:22 looks better than the new "improved" pirate. That's disappointing.

I've been to Monkey Island, it's only a hop away from Kangaroo Island.

If you listing to the guy talking, he reminds me of Bob Ross

SPIFFY!!!! lol I love monkey island, remember playing the original when I was really young. It's nice to have it revamped but a whole new monkey island game would be even better...

woooohoooooo!! considering i've played MI3 and 4 but never the ones which started it all thanks to being spoilt of lovely graphics im glad Lucasarts have done something like this. thank god they didnt abandoned their fans and adventure genre!

I wish Sierra would do this for Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father. All the big 90's publisher should put together volumes of the libraries from the late 80's through the 90s. Each one for 40 to 60 bucks. Lucas Arts kinda did it but I would like to see ALL of their games not just classics.

I missed skull so muchhhh and I didnt even played the first two games and this is a dream come true and only few months away!

I knew Lucas wouldn't desert MI, i hope I can get the same feelings when I did playing MI 3

lucasarts rediscovering monkey island and their adventure roots is the best video game news i've heard in a decade. PLEASE KEEP GOING! EVERYBODY ENCOURAGE THIS FOR ME!

The new interface seems alright, but wouldn't it be a total pain when doing the puzzle where you have to keep pouring grog into other mugs?

    @Sophia
I mean, I want all the new graphics and sound, just not the voices! ^_^
I'd feel sort of weird buying the new version, just to play the original, which I've already got and play every three years or so.
Oh well, I'm sure this is going to be great.

Look behind you! A three-headed monkey!

    So delighted for this.
First game I ever completed. And every year before Christmas I boot it up on my Amiga 600 and play through it again.
Must say I dont think the comedy has the same dark tone with the dialogue and cartoonish character models. Though I think the guy from Curse does a great job in that game with Guybrushes voice.

@twillfast You can play in the classic mode whenever you want, the voices are removed the sound goes back to the original.

Nice! This looks like a good remake of a classic game. Here is hoping they remake some of the other classics like "Full Throttle".

Finally! Hopefully this sells and they'll start work on a proper 2D Monkey Island 5. Great graphics, although the animations don't seem to have evolved much in 19 years.

Guy Brush is back in full HD. Yikes! Hardly can I believe it. Reminiscing...
By the way, it is awesome how smoothly one can switch between the original and the new graphics. I just can't wait to grab this title on the 360.

Ah man.. Monkey Island is pretty much the secret of my childhood. I'm feeling slightly melancholic though, when they put voices on all the subtitled characters of my past, and make Guybrush's hair look like.. I don't know what.
I really like the graphic look, I just wish there were no voices and just more of the awesome ambient sound and piraty music!

    I guess it's 'bye, bye guy.brush' and 'hello guybrush.gfx'.
    *gets tear-eyed*
