@twillfast the remake of the original also has an option to play with the classic graphics so it doesn't really matter what you think of the new style.

July 7th!! Woo! Now... do I preorder the full set or buy them episodically? £35 is a lot of cash.

Why does Guybrush remind me of that guy from Extreme Makeover meets Shaggy of Scooby Doo fame? 3D point and click - looks like they got it right this time.

This is awesome news but at the same time it doesn't look much like Guybrush, I miss the 2D graphics as well... or at least a Guybrush similar to the PS2 looking one.

MI3 had the best graphical style, sure, and the best looking Guybrush.

But it takes sooooo long.

3D is easier, faster, and cheaper....

I MISS 2D GRAPHICS!!!

But i love MI, so i'll get this.

I have to agree with deanimate, The Curse of Monkey Island was a charm and really well-made game. It doesn't even have to be in 3D.

Honestly THIS IS MONKEY ISLAND!

I already pre-ordered! Game looks hilarious! For all i care this could be 7D, aslong as its MONKEY ISLAND!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

great news but I so wish they would ditch the 3D look. it just looks terrible. compare this to curse of monkey island and you see how much charm has been lost. guess it will never happen but it has to be said.

Agreed. The animation in MI3 was top notch! I guess the trouble is that frame by frame animation would take too long for episodic release time frame.

I'm pretty excited about a new Monkey Island game, as I'm sceptical to the remake of the original. There is just no way the original could get better than it already is. ^_^

I think they should do it like MI3 but after the success of Sam & Max, i think they will continue in 3d . Anyway, i think it will be very good playing a MI game after 9 years !
