LSP Games has recently announced that it has acquired the rights to develop games based on Universal Studios' animated TV series Sitting Ducks. The CGI animated series is set in the quirky world of DuckTown, and it stars a duck named Bill who enjoys an unlikely friendship with an alligator named Aldo.

"We are thrilled to work with LSP to bring this wonderful world to gamers with the multiformat launch based on the Sitting Ducks TV series," stated Bruno Maglione, managing director of Universal Studios Consumer Products Group in Europe. "Sitting Ducks plays like a sitcom with a diverse cast of amusing, eccentric, and unusual characters involved in extraordinary stories of ordinary life--LSP's games will reflect the spirit of the series."

Gameplay details are scarce at present, but LSP has revealed that the game will be a third-person adventure in which players assume the role of Bill--who can walk, run, jump, and ride on scooters. Sitting Ducks is scheduled for release on the PC, PS2, Xbox, and GBA toward the end of this year. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
