Daily Downloads: Sam & Max vs. Abe Lincoln

The latest installment of Telltale's freelance police series gets a demo, Half-Life 2 and Company of Heroes hitch along for the ride.

When the president goes bananas, it's up to an odd couple of anthropomorphic law enforcement mammals to save the day. The newly released demo for Sam and Max Episode 4: Abe Lincoln Must Die! lets players go through early portions of the game that take place in the White House as well as the detective duo's own neighborhood.

In other freshly available downloads, the Eternal Silence mod for Half-Life 2 is updated to version 2.3, Company of Heroes gets a pair of new maps, and Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday is patched.

Sam and Max should have a feature-length game downloadable on PCs and XBOX 360s if not on store shelves.

Good to see Half-Life 2 and Company of Heroes getting extended play value.
