RE4, Onimusha 3, DMC 3 headed to PCs

GameSpot's Game of the Year and two other Capcom titles take on new platform, courtesy of Ubisoft.

Pessimists and console fanboys may say PC gaming is dead, but with Ubisoft's latest announcement, it may be more appropriate to call in undead. The French publisher has signed a deal with Osaka-based Capcom to distribute three of its games, including Resident Evil 4, for the PC in Europe and North America.

In addition to the previously rumored RE4, Ubisoft will distribute PC versions of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition and Onimusha 3: Demon Siege. All three games appeared on the PlayStation 2, with Resident Evil 4 also appearing on the GameCube.

This isn't the first trip on the PC for the Resident Evil series. The original Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis have all scared the wits out of PC gamers over the years. The Devil May Cry and Onimusha series, on the other hand, are making their debut on the platform.

Onimusha 3 for the PC will be the first game to hit stores when it is released in February. Ubisoft has not yet announced release dates for the other two titles.

dude, why doesn't the mouse aim utility work? i am tired of having to use the cursed keyboard. And by the way, is not as good as the console versions, i was playing both in my room at 1 time (ps2+PC) and and this is what i say:
    PC:
    pros:
1.PC means trainers, mods, and other fun stuff
    cons:
    1.no mouse control
    2.w/o patch, graphics suck
    3.crappy control

    PS2:
    PROS:
    1. great control
    2. good graphics
    cons:
    1. no mods and such
    2. movie graphics weren't as good

Theres no need for physics support; they animated everything, and you cant pick anything up or even jump. And the graphics--The game isnt going to look any better than what they want it to, no matter what video card you have. And not every game will have DX10 support, odds are this wont since 1. its just a port, and, 2. its $20. Plus you need windows Vista. You have to realize that just because you have a DX10 card, it doesnt mean you get DX10 graphics. If you cant understand that, then you dont deserve that card.
EDIT: You said, in a nutshell, "adding a physics engine will make the game look better".......sorry, im afraid physics doesnt mean better graphics

I have played Resident Evil 4 for the PC, but the one i have is just copy / Emu of the original GC or PS2 game, that's why the cutscenes looks so rough and also the reason you can't use the mouse. To use the mouse you can get a program called: "Mouseaim" or "Mousefix" for RE4, i use the Mousefix and it works excellent. It's a really cool game, very nice with the new weapon ugrade system that you can buy with the Ptas the currency at a merchant you earn in the game. I've read somewhere on the internet that the official PC release will hit the streets in about March or April.

GUYS!! ive tested the early version maybe, it was titled BIOHAZARD 4 on PC this february, MAN I cant use the mouse!! having difficulty aiming those zombies with keyboard?!! since I dont have gamepads, (yes they support gamepads) it sucks, but the graphic is GREAT. the total badside is that the video cutscenes looks a lot rough than PS2 version, so when you play with great graphic gameplay and the game took you into cutscenes? its terrible

Im afraid that this could be the final version, I took the graphic to the highest setting, but it only gave me a slight improvement than from PS 2.

I guess CAPCOM doesnt have enough expirience with PC gamers, they need a lot more planning.

I'm happy to see that Proud PC fanboys can finally see what they're missing on the other systems. Go Capcom!

Meh, I beat RE4 on PS2 and am currently working my way through the GC version. I love it, don't own it, but have 2 friends who would lend it to me at the drop of a hat. I might just end up with the PS2 version because of all the extras. I don't think I'd download any mods or anything, so PS2 version is a maybe and the computer version is going to have to be a no. Sorry, PC fans. Console version wins out for me. Give me Hellgate: London, Bioshock, and F.E.A.R. for my PC horror fix.

I shud think tht RE4 shud work well on a pc, but with DMC 3 and onimusha 3 it wud be pretty hard wid the keyboard since those 2 games wid the fightin is all combo based and u'd probably smash yur keyboard 2 bits if yur playin em so i wud imagine a joypad wud be the best thing 2 use on these 2 titles!! RE4 shud be really easy to play wid a keyboard!!

Everyone who's saying that they wont function right on keyboard most likely don't have a high-end pc and if you do you don't play it. Something y'all fail to realize is FPS gaming is popular amongst PC and all 3 of these games can easily function similar to a FPS especially RE4. A mouse and a few buttons makes things much more easier than you think. I have RE4 for the cube and will still most likely get it for pc cause i have highend which will definitely be able to handle it and I let my friend from out of town hold my cube. As for DMC3 and Onimusha3 they don't even appeal to me same type of games with a different mask, I can't stand games like those. Same thing over n over, reminds me of those damn Dynasty warrior .

Onimusha 1 did come out on the PC. I have played it a few years ago on my PC using a nyko gamepad. It had a option to turn on english speech and subtitles. It was the PC version that made me take notice of this series.
