Overclocked ticking across to North America

Lighthouse Interactive secures a deal with DTP Entertainment to bring its PC adventures to the US and Canada.

American and Canadian adventure game fans can rejoice that a variety of European-developed point-and-click titles will be making their way across the pond.

In a deal announced today by Lighthouse Interactive, the company has signed a deal with Hamburg, Germany-based publisher DTP Entertainment for the North American publishing rights for a variety of the company's titles.

Overclocked is being developed by House of Tales, the Germany-based studio that worked on other point-and-clickers The Moment of Silence and Mystery of the Druids. The psychological thriller focuses on army psychiatrist David McNamara, who is called to Staten Island Forensic Hospital to evaluate the condition of five young patients who have lost their memories to try to get to the root of their psychological trauma. In the game, the player switches between the six different characters as they explore their memories.

Two other titles have also been announced to be heading to North America as part of the new deal--Belief & Betrayal and Undercover: Operation Wintersun. Belief & Betrayal, being developed by Artematica Entertainment, takes place in a modern-day setting, as journalist Jonathan Danter investigates the murder of his uncle and is drawn into a web of conspiracy across a range of European locations including London, Venice, and the Vatican.

Undercover: Operation Wintersun, under development by Sproing Interactive Media, is set in 1943, during World War II, as Hitler's Germany is working on developing nuclear weapons. British MI6 agent Dr. John Russell is tasked with preventing the Nazis from cracking nuclear technology.

Belief & Betrayal and Undercover: Operation Wintersun will be released in summer 2007, and Overclocked is slated for an early 2008 release. All three are PC titles.

"well with "Mystery of The Druids" under their belt I will remain skeptic."

Be a skeptic no longer. House of Tales' "The Moment of Silence" is far, far better than that debut game of theirs "Mystery of the Druids".

Belief and Betrayal looks great, let's hope it lives up to what I like in an adventure storyline.
