Nibiru ready for retail

The Adventure Company's latest goes gold, ships at end of month.

For a publisher that specializes in a supposedly niche genre, there's an awful lot of activity going on at The Adventure Company. Last month, it shipped Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern to retail. Last week, it released a demo of Voyage: Inspired by Jules Verne, which is scheduled to ship at the end of the month. Today, word comes that in addition to launching the Web site for Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None, the company's Nibiru: Age of Secrets has gone gold.

Nibiru follows linguistics and archaeology student Martin Holan as he is called in to inspect an enigmatic tunnel unearthed in Bohemia. With the discovery of an equally mysterious murder, the game is afoot and Holan is off on a path to adventure that involves exotic locales, Nazis, and the death of the Mayan civilization.

Developer Future Games built Nibiru on the game engine it used in The Black Mirror.

Nibiru is scheduled for a September release, and The Adventure Company is anticipating a rating of T for Teen. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage of the game.
