DreamCatcher Announces First Quarter Lineup

Dracula: The Last Sanctuary, In Cold Blood, Tales of Chivalry, and The Messenger are all scheduled for release in early 2001.

DreamCatcher Interactive has announced its early 2001 lineup, which features six new games. French publisher Cryo Interactive acquired Toronto-based DreamCatcher earlier this year, giving Cryo a broader presence in the North American market. The adventure game Dracula: The Last Sanctuary is scheduled for release in early February 2001. The game is the sequel to Dracula Resurrection, and it will feature numerous puzzles and challenges, as well as encounters with hostile non-player characters and even Dracula himself. Players assume the role of Jonathan Harker, who is in pursuit of the legendary vampire through a series of detailed environments including London, Borgo Pass, the catacombs, and Dracula's secret sanctuary.

In Cold Blood combines action and adventure elements. The story-driven 3D game is in development at UK-based Revolution, the creator of the Broken Sword series. In Cold Blood is scheduled for release in March.

The Messenger is in development at Index Multimedia. In the game, players assume the role of Morgane, a woman on a mission through time to recover Satan's Keys and prevent the destruction of the world. Morgane must use puzzle-solving skills, gadgets, stealth, cunning, and her feminine charms to successfully complete her quest. The game is scheduled for release in late January. We've posted some screenshots from the game above.

Tales of Chivalry from Cryo Interactive is an adventure game that takes players through two distinct storylines set in the Dark Ages. Players encounter knights, fairies, and the famous wizard Merlin in their travels through detailed 3D environments. Tales of Chivalry is scheduled for release in February.

DreamCatcher will also release two Nancy Drew games in partnership with Her Interactive. Stay Tuned for Danger takes place on the set of a daytime television drama, and Nancy must track down the person who is threatening one of the stars. In Secrets Can Kill, Nancy must go undercover to track down a murderer using her skills as a detective. Both games are scheduled for release in Q1 2001.
