The Longest Journey sells 250,000

Developer Funcom has sold a quarter-million copies of its graphical adventure game, and announces a US price drop.

According to developer Funcom, the company's acclaimed graphical adventure game The Longest Journey has sold 250,000 units worldwide. The game was originally released in the US last year, and it features colorful 3D graphics, a complex story, and a traditional point-and-click interface reminiscent of graphical adventure games like Grim Fandango and Escape from Monkey Island. GameSpot PC also named The Longest Journey adventure game of the year 2000. According to Funcom, 90,000 copies of The Longest Journey have been sold in the US. In addition, the company has instituted a manufacturer's suggested retail price drop in the US to $29.99.
