But is it really worth the wait for the ps2?

This game looks exactly like Legend and Anniversary. I love how they keep talking about how it is so much different. That's okay though, I love Legend and Anniversary.

I can only wish I read the reviews before I bought the game. The bug list is simply enormous. And the game is still very linear, despite what they said in the video. That can be a good thing since that is the tomb raider tradition to have a linear gameplay. I just don't understand why they tell people they want to "stray away from linear gameplay" when in fact they can't? But the most disappointing thing of all is the ending. I was watching the credit, hoping another cutscene might come up but the game which started with a bang ended with a whimper. What a bloody idiot I was to fall for a game because of the trailers and what a shame for the development team to create something like this after more than a decade of tomb raider games.

I just don't understand why--time and time, again--Eidos puts so much effort into creating Tomb Raider games, and they always come out disappointing. They do tons of research, traveling to all these international locales to make genuine and realistic environments, reading up on various religions and mythology, etc. Yet, over and over, they repeat the same mistakes. The games are plagued by graphical rendering problems and shoddy, frustrating controls. In the ten years since Tomb Raider came out, you would think that something this simple would have been taken care of. I haven't played the game yet, although I want to. But when I read all these reviews about how frustrating it is to play through this game, it's quite easy to see that nothing has changed. Honestly--and really think about this. With all the consoles and technology we have available, including the storage capacity of the Blu-Ray disc, it is completely inexcusable to be producing games that are bogged down with all these various issues when we have very similar games in this genre created by other game companies that are able to get it right! Why support game companies that only create mediocre games? I'll wait until this is in the bargain bin.

Lara's gone from serious retro linearity, to a surreal, lush detailed character. (Drake and Lara should date sometime. But then what about Elena?) Anyway, Look's awesome - The game either makes it or breaks it. Polished look makes it for me. Will have to give it a go.

This franchise has really come back strong after they messed up with the release of "The Angel of Darkness". Lara's also looking hotter than ever!

"they've borrowed heavily from drakes fortune with dropping objects through concealed passages on the ground" that's what you call borrowing heavily? if anything, drake is a clone of tomb raider. not a criticism tho, i like both games.

they've borrowed heavily from drakes fortune with dropping objects through concealed passages on the ground, not a criticism though, i love the tomb raider series, and i wonder if this will be able to top drakes fortune, not an easy task

The first Tom Raider game I played was "Anniversary". Yes I agree it was frustrating,at first, trying to solve the puzzles. Eventually I became good at it.This game looks great, and I'm looking forward to the challenges. Beautiful details, Hoping that the play is as good.

i do agree with media mind i mean it will be an absolutely awsome game but its nothing groundbreaking, the drop a boulder off a piller onto thin ground and obvious ledges are kinda drakes fortune but the underwater level looks amazing very original

Love what Crystal Dynamics did with the Tomb Raider series... Back to its core where you actually exploring and solving huge environmental puzzle which is pretty much why Tomb Raider was successful in the first place. ..Of course, everything is up a notch with each new hardware. Can't wait for this.
