A different solution is to delete the temporary files as they are written (patch only makes them only so it can be able to do a rollback anyway, which is stupid since it does a rollback DUE to this issue).

It will still take 'forever' to patch the game though (since making a 20GB backup takes some time).

The incompetent Aspyr developers should fix the framerate drops instead, as well as the camera (especially in boss fights).

Yes you will. Just change your temp folder temporary. Use this link:

Well... about that, I hope you have a very (and I mean very, very) good PC if you want to play this game smoothly because the patch didn't fix every problem about frameskip (at least in my PC).
About patching I really didn't need so much space free in the hard drive but it was realy taking to long to advance, so I let the patch do (slooowly) it's work and I went to see a DVD movie. About 1 hour and a half later, as I checked the progress of the patch, the game has already patched, so I sugest you do the same as I did. Go and kill some time!

thanx Ricardo...but a new prob now cropped in..does dis really require 20 freaking gb of space at C drive..because it keep getting rolledback..but 1 of my friends said he didn't face dis weird problem..and he has got only 1.92 gb free in his C drive...any help plz..badly wanna play da game smoothly..

That´s because you have the game cracked... re-instal the game and then aply the patch right after the instalation. The patch recognizes the original .exe file that the game installs, it can´t recognize the crack. After patching the game crack it if you really want to.

the patch couldn't find the game..though i've placed it in the installed game folder..it asks to reinstall...any suggestions?

I've just installed the latest patch (1.1) to force unleashed. It fixed some issues but I still got some frameskip problems. Does this need another patch release or it´s just me? It's possible that the problem is in my pc, but I still don't know!

    My PC:
    AMD Phenom(tm) X2 Dual-Core
    Processor GP-7730
    2.71 GHz. 2,00Gb of Ram
    Windows XP Professional SP3

You cant have the cd crack on if you want to update and you have to have a epik computer to run this without running at a slow frame rate even so it wont go over 30 fps. My build is a q9550 quad core oc 3.11 GHz 4gigz 800 mhz ddr2 and a gtx 275 oc

Did this patch not work for anyone else? My game still runs in slow motion, even though I'm above the minimum system requirements and the "high detail" box is unchecked in the game launcher.

The patch says it cant fine the game??

The 400MB patch requires around 20GB free on the hard drive containing your Temp folder (most likely c: ). It makes temporary backups of almost all (if not all) the game files, JUST in case "something" goes wrong during the installation (since all these backup files are deleted once the "patching" is complete).

The patch doesn't even let you know it's doing this, it just starts making backups like crazy and when it runs out of space it does a rollback (again, without any notification of WHY it's doing that). Takes forever as well to "patch" the game.

Now, even IF something would go wrong during the patching process, you can always reinstall the game since your saved games aren't affected... which makes the need for a 20GB backup absolutely pointless.

So a few words to the guys from Aspyr! You guys suck and your patch is completely retarded. Learn to make a proper patch that doesn't require 20 Freaking Gigabytes of free space!

It's surprising that it comes from Aspyr, the same company that ported Dark Sector that is still broken.

"Finally"? The game's only been out for a week. Few games are patched that quickly after release.
