Thank god for this patch. I heard the game was buggy, so waited for some patches to come out first. Out of the box this game is pretty bad, almost unplayable, but with the 1.0004 patch its great, and plays sooooo much better. Luckily, I didn't play much of it before downloading the patch as all previous save games from V1.000 didn't work. Works great now.

does anyone know when the next patch is coming out? this one made the game more unstable. i've got around the recommended system specs, but before this patch i had to run the game on a fairly low graphics level or it would shut down after lagging every time it loaded a new area. now with the patch, i had to turn the setting even lower, and it still exits the game the same way it did before, but now it crashes if i quick load while taking damage. on the bright side it fixed, or atleast semi-fixed, some annoying things, like cocking the gun when you load the game, which attracts all the enemies in the area to you, now i start with binoculars instead, which is a little better i guess

Dude i know exactly what you mean, Bioshock is allright, but the AI in it is complete trash, and they over did it with the shine on every single thing in the game, the walls the grass the dirt the blood the STONE walls Cloth pants, jeans just everything is to shiny, and its not even a good shine, it sucks....the game is waaay to short too....i would much rather play 100 hours of stalker

The only Vista fix is known as XP. And it is a universal patch, it fixes absolutely every Vista problem! marvelous!

This patch has optimized the game so much, I am just floating around now totally smoothly with great looking graphics all on my itty bitty 6600! It's all buttery smooth, but the only rough patch is hwo do I know which mods work with it and which don't?! Mind you, that's a nice problem to have! And despite being -2 in my previous message I still say 100 hour STALKER is better than 20 hour Bioshock. Sorry fans of Bioshock!

Woopie -the 1.004 patch has arrived!!! This game knocks the socks of Bioshock, it only loses out in the hype stakes - and I buy games to play!!!!

If only one of these patches would bring the once promised co-op feature.. Oh well.

Yes it patched and worked on the Oz version, but since I don't play on-line, can't check the multiplayer problems.

this patch is for the "worldwide" version, did not work for my US version. for US, need to find stk-us-10004.exe elsewhere...
