PlanetSide expansion open for preorders

SOE's expansion brings new content to its massively multiplayer action title.

An expansion pack for PlanetSide, Sony Online Entertainment's massively multiplayer action game, is due to retail in less than two weeks.

The company said today the expansion is now available for pre-order at select retailers and via the PlanetSide launch pad.

SOE said in a statement that the expansion will offer "new massive underground zones and caverns, upgradable surface-level facilities, and an unlockable form of ancient technology to access new weapons, vehicles, and underground transports."

The title is due to be released in late October and will carry an MSRP of $29.99.
