Buka announces Operation: Matriarchy
Buka Entertainment announces the development of a futuristic first-person shooter scheduled for release in 2005. First screens inside.
Buka Entertainment today announced that it will publish Operation: Matriarchy during the first quarter of 2005. The previously unannounced sci-fi first-person shooter, which is in development at MADia, will see players assuming the role of a Galactic Federation trooper on a mission to combat a hostile civilization. In addition to 16 different weapons, the players' arsenal will comprise several types of armored space suits.
The game's storyline revolves around the introduction of an extraterrestrial virus to the planet Velian by an enemy unknown. The virus has caused the males on the planet to lose much of their intelligence and free will, while the females have all become part of a collective intelligence under the control of the enemy. The single-player campaign will span more than 20 levels, and Operation: Matriarchy will also feature multiplayer support of some description.
We'll bring you more information on Operation: Matriarchy as soon as it becomes available.
