Cryo and Dark Horse have signed a deal to produce a 3D action game based on the popular comic book. New screenshots inside.
Cryo Interactive has inked a deal with Dark Horse Interactive to create a game based on the popular comic book Hellboy. The 3D action game will feature the characters created by artist Mike Mignola for the Dark Horse comic book. Players assume the role of Hellboy, a red humanoid summoned from another dimension who eventually becomes the world's leading paranormal investigator. He and his partner Sarah are sent to Czechoslovakia to locate a missing associate, but they become locked in a lunatic asylum. Hellboy and Sarah uncover a madman's plot to unleash the forces of darkness upon the world, and must stop him before it's too late. The game is designed to convey a mysterious and frightening atmosphere in the style of Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft.
Hellboy is scheduled for release in November.
