I hope they will make it on PC and top the The Last Remnant game & Rise of Argonauts (those games because it seems most familiar to those).

I am afraid because they didn't show the PC logo in the trailer, hope they release it for the PC and don't scrap it. I don't own any console as of now, and this game looks too good to be unable to play because I don't own a console.

i cant wait till the day gameplay graphics are as good as these cinematic trailers..just watch the cinematic trailer for assassin's creed 2. youll know what im talking about. i know graphics arent everything, but cmon, what gamer doesnt get excited by the next step in graphical and technical capabilities?
anyway, as far as this game, it looks pretty awesome. very unique setting, i dont recall seeing anything quite like it before.
im keeping my eye on this one. and this movie definitely sets the tone for the game.

Well if the game manages to be as rich and excellent as this cinematic trailer, I'm totally sold.

Its a 3rd person action adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic steampunk fantasy world that has been split into separate realms of day and night.

Very well done. This trailer alone would make me track the game.

    Posted Jun 18, 2009 10:29 pm PT

    So what's the game about?

  • xtremeflem2day

    Posted Jun 18, 2009 8:27 pm PT

not bad, but it doesn't give you really much of an idea of what might happen in the game

  • ru_mour

    Posted Jun 18, 2009 10:59 am PT

Granted, it's only a trailer (and a teaser, really), but it's beautifully done, wouldn't you say? I haven't seen a trailer for a long time that's told me so little yet excited me so much. The mood is perfect. If the game can deliver that same dark melancholy and stick with the Planescape-esque art that it seems to be going for, I might just be sold.

Escapist Magazine's Unskippable lambasted this trailer for revealing nothing more that is actually coherent about this game. All that CG is nice to look at, but I am convinced that it is mere CG and not in-game graphics.

Like I said earlier, I would advise anyone to wait for some gameplay videos before considering a pre-order.

SouthPeak is publishing this game, not developing it. When one wonders about how well or bad a game can turn out, one should look at the portfolio of the developer, and not the publisher. The publisher is only out to make money. So does the developer, but hey, they are the ones writing the code.

And do keep in mind this developer's last game was a hideous game, Hot Dog King: A Fast Food Empire. And with a equally hideous company name of Fuzzyeyes Studios, I would say - to quote a certain character in The Last Remnant - "You better recognize!" These are people with very low standards in perceiving what is fun in a digital game, so be forewarned.

And really, please don't trust trailers. They are actually videos with a lot of man-hours thrown into them to make them look really good, when those man-hours could actually have been used to polish the rest of the game (said scenes in the trailer will be included in the game, of course).

Also, please ignore the interviews. The interviewees are guaranteed to pour praise on their products. The videos that wise gamers should be looking at are actual gameplay videos. Nothing else matters.

Is southpeak actually going to make a good game again? they keep almost doing it..X-Blades had alot of potential; this looks really good already, you can do it!

Very moody, I like it. Sets the tone for a great and dark adventure. Hopefully this one is good....

    @Jon-a-Tron

The difference is, an angsty teenager with a thesaurus would be using all the words incorrectly, and wouldn't sound nearly as sincere. Personally, I think it's a very mood-setting trailer (as is the other one), and the music for this game has me impressed so far.

What a load of nonsensical, faux-artsy BS.

  • Jon-a-Tron

    Posted Jun 17, 2009 8:50 am PT

Sounds like it's written by a teenager with a lot of angst and a thesaurus.

Trying too hard. I get how they want to say something but not what and I have the feeling I've seen/heard all these elements before.
