"Best in series"
There is not much to say than "You REALLY need play this awesome game!" But in order to make a decent review, we need to know the pros as well as the cons so here it is:

Pros:
-Great visuals, truly outstanding.
-Sharp Controls
-Awesome multiplayer modes & gameplay
-Action-packed
-High replay value

Cons:
-Very short

As you can see, the only flaw of this game is its campaign is really short. You can finish the game in one sitting (depends on the difficulty though). But that aside, this game is what every FPS fan could ask for.

The VISUALS:
It's nothing mind blowing but definitely great. The textures are good, physics not that much but the lighting is just awesome. Muzzle flashes create shadows, explosions look great, making this game really action-packed. Character models look realistic as well as the vehicles. My only complaint is that you can't see your legs when you look down making me feel awkward.

The GAMEPLAY:
Sharp controls, basically what every fps needs. Call of Duty 4 is not different from the previous Call of Duty games, still very much linear even if sometimes you're allowed to choose which path to take. This game though pretty much fixed every glitch found in the previous games making the game progression smooth.

Call of Duty 4 is about modern warfare hence the subtitle. Meaning we won't be using antique weapons such as the M1 garand or the MP 14. We now use our modern day rifles and there are a variety to choose from. This time around though there are no vehicles. Unlike CoD 3 where you can ride a jeep.

You play as two soldiers in different missions in modern warfare. One is an SAS operative Soap while the other is part of the US army named Jackson. As I've said earlier, campaign is really short and straightforward. Proceed to objective and shoot everything that moves.

After finishing the campaign there is the multiplayer which is what this game is all about. The multiplayer mode still has the rank system, as you progress through ranks, you unlock more weapons and equipment. The higher your rank, the more you are able to pimp your weapons. Aside from the ranks, there are also challenges, completing these challenges gives you bonus points and some unlockables. These additions makes multiplayer very fun to play.

The SOUND:
Great voice acting, soundtrack and sound effects. Everything feels realistic and nothing is out of place.

Conclusion:
Just do yourself a favor and play this game.
