Same problem as jarek, i'm checking my recently OCed cpu just in case, but i think it made my FPS really suffer, i remember my cousin playing it on my old athlon 64 and it looked better than it does on the core 2 duo.

it would be nice if they fixed some of the terrible hit detection before they start adding mod tools.

Strange thing, but after installing this patch the game (single player - I didn't check multi) started to suffer framerate issues (i.e. a short, but quite frequent "freeze" just before playing some sounds). After removing CoD4 and installing it again (without the patch) everything is ok - as it was before. Have any one of you experienced similar problems?

You do realize you don't *have* to use the download manager. It says "Or get this file the old way." right below that option.

Komorarcu, you need to reinstall/update your direct X files. If the .exe installer doesn't fix it, there is a direct X thing you can download from Microsoft that is a .rar or .zip file that contains individial direct X dlls... just copy the d3dx9_34.dll from that zip folder to your windows/system32 folder. overwrite as necessary.

i am as well excited for mod tools and this game is the best of the year IMO. Plays faster than halo 3, has 52 player matches, lots of weapon options, GOLD DESERT EAGLE lol awesome.

I'm pretty excited to start playing with the mod tools. I'm enjoying this game more than Gears currently, so my time will be going towards it.
