Battlefield Battle of Britain map coming soon
EA plans to release a free new map for Battlefield 1942 that re-creates Britain's defense against fierce German air attacks and introduces two new weapons.
EA has announced on the official Battlefield 1942 Web site that a free new map set during the Battle of Britain will soon be released. The new map will have German players attempting to disable four Royal Air Force radar towers and the heavily defended Harwich weapons factory on the coast of England. The German side will be reinforced with the addition of a new fighter-bomber, the Junkers Ju88, while the defending British forces will be able to man the radar defenses. Both of these new weapons are featured in the screenshots above.
