Your connection is bad because you need to update battlefield 1942 with the 1.6.19 full patch, followed by the 1.61b incremental patch. If that doesn't work, reinstall v0.7 and upgrade to a later version of DC.
And if that still doesn't work, find a new ISP

ok the reason the mapvote thing is stuck on your screen is you havent patched ur bf1942 up to date patch it to the 1.61b patch thats the newest for now and then try it it should work

can someone help? everytime i create the game there's a vote map thing stuck on the centre of the screen and i can't seem to remove it....

You have to launch the mod from in the custom games thing....dir
