You pick your player, ball, stance and technical things like that. Once you're all set, it's off to the lane.
This is no bumper bowl either: you actually have to think and plan every move. For the first several times I played, I was surprised by the difficulty on offer. It really does take some doing to get the hang of foot placement, throw speed and the many other details before I started getting good shots on a regular basis. Once that happens, everything falls into place, and you can be proud of your scores; so be ready for a little elbow grease, it'll pay off.
Now if only it came with its own snack bar so I could grab a soda pop between rounds...
