The first patapon was fresh and original. I had never played a rythm game before. Signing a "God contract" in the start of the game was an inspired idea. But the Hero focus in the sequel was fairly uninspired. The evolution of the papapons too was fairly complicated and unhelpful. It was hard to unlock certain characters and I never unlocked the flying ones, even though I beat it all the way through to the end. Other people I know who;ve played this game agree with me that it's too hard. I played it though on Normal all the way up to the final boss for 95% of the time, and although it was simply challenging up to that point, it was fairly impossible for me to beat the final boss on Normal with my current patapon set up.
