Awesomely short

PE could've been amazing so easily and I'll tell you why. The game spans six days in New York while a cop, Aye Brea fights to save humanity from an evolutionary higher being. The gameplay is amazing, and I don't care what gamespot said the music score is ominous and pretty creepy given the beautiful still life backgrounds. The cg cinematics are gorgeous and are always eventful. The problem with this game is length. Squaresoft rpgs are the longest and greatest games ever made, with complex characters and storylines that break the 100 hour limit to fully complete it. While PE has the battle system down with a wire grid-like aim system mixed with real time strategy which makes random battles fun, it lacks so bad in length. The story is emersive, and it's like a Michael Crichton book, it's riddled with scientific research that teach you about evolutionary science which is kinda a plus. But the six days of the game take place in about ten hours. The first three days fly by in like three hours easy and the rest go by not as quick but still does not draw itself out. This game could've been so amazing if all they did was add onto the plot, and I'm not talking like add things in to make it more interesting, I mean to make it a longer more satisfying experience. I mean ca'mon FF7, 8, and 9 are 3 disks or more, each disk taking about 15-20 hours to complete. They could've at least drawn out PE to actually fill completely one disk. That's what an rpg is supposed to do.
