Parasite eve was a novel idea. It was an action rpg before anyone knew what that was. it was very pretty too. but good??
fact of the matter was that parasite eve had it's problems. as with so many games of the time it tried to do more than the technology could achieve. it tried to be this open-ended world where you investigate at your leisure, but delivered a very linear experience with somewhat less than par graphics. the battle-bubble as i have come to call it was a nifty way of ranging and strategizing your combat options but it didn't work near as smoothly as i would have liked and was often more cumbersome than helpful.
the beauty in the game is the story. it's pretty creative...too bad you have to suffer thru the game to get it.
