Started of as a mix of RPG and Survival Horror and establishing a new genre, called Cinematic RPG - this game can be called a masterpiece. Its gameplay blends action and horror with traditional RPG elements to create a game that is all too easily described as the marriage of Final Fantasy VII and Resident Evil with all of the best things of the two merged into one game.

Gameplay is a mix of semi real-time combat where you fight in real time, but using a grid similar to Vagrant Story, survival horror puzzles (though they mainly involve exploring and finding keys) and great cinematic feel together with awesome atmospheric sountrack which just immerse a player inside the game.
Weapon selection is quite big and in-deep exploration is rewarded generously. But to experience the game fully a player must complete the game and then start over to gain access to another location in which player's skills will fully be put to the test. That adds quite a lot to replayability value of this game. Emotional aspect in this game is also made perfect which makes the player play it over and over again.
Conclusion: If you are a fan of either Survival Horror or RPG game genres - gives this game a try and you won't be disappointed.

GOOD: Awesome battle system, great soundtrack, atmospheric gameplay that just immerses player into the the world, high replayability value, great story.
BAD: Slow pace of the game sometimes drives away the fans of quick action, the game is a bit short.
