Paper Mario TTYD is one of the best games I own. Seriously, I love it! The game starts with Mario getting a letter from Princess Peach telling him that she has found an ancient treasure map, and that she needs him to meet her in a town called Rougeport. So Mario gets on a ship to see her, but when he gets there, she's not there! And so goes the beginning of the story. The town of Rougeport serves as the hub of the game, with a couple shops, an inn, a place to level up partners, (yes, partners are back!), and some other stuff I'll go into later. The object of the game is to collect the Crystal Stars before another group of villains, (It's not Bowser this time, believe it or not!), of whom I will not tell the name. The game gets its name from the giant door underground, which will change the map to show where the next Crystal Star is. The game has challenging puzzles in it, and quizzes too. About the different buildings. There are inns, but the only change from the first one is that you have to pay to rest in them this time around. The shops are here too, spread all across the places you will go. There are four buildings that are only in Rougeport, Merlon's house, the Trouble Center, Mervulee's house, and Chet Rippo's house. Merlon's house is where you go to level up partners, but you need to pay shine sprites. The Trouble Center is new to this game. Go here every once in awhile to see the troubles people have. If you help them, they may reward you. Mervulee's house is where you go to have a spell put on you that will help you in battle. Chet Rippo's house... is a secret! You'll have to find out for yourself what goes on in there! The bosses are challenging, too. The battles are the same as the first one, turn-based.
Overall, Paper Mario TTYD is a great game in all areas. Definitely worth buying!
